Job description

Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing

 Crestline Hotels & Resorts stands among the nation's most respected leaders in hospitality management.  Crestline Hotels & Resorts is seeking an accomplished Sales & Marketing Leader to guide the company's next phase of growth. With a robust and well-positioned portfolio, Crestline is poised for continued expansion. This executive will be responsible for driving all group and negotiated segment initiatives, establishing strategic growth priorities, and developing comprehensive plans to strengthen both new and existing business. Additionally, this leader will have direct management and oversight of the regional sales teams across the Crestline portfolio, ensuring alignment, performance, and excellence in execution.

 This is a remote-based position but will require 40-50% travel.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate as key member of the executive team to ensure business success
  • Develop and maintain the overall hotel sales plans for the company and ensure that RevPAR share continues to grow companywide
  • Provide regular updates to CEO and rest of the executive team as appropriate
  • Develop and implement regional and national sales-generating strategic initiatives
  • Build and grow the sales team through training, team member development, and accountability
  • Provide visible leadership and communications to the sales organization and to all hotels in the portfolio
  • Drive results through the hotel sales teams by ensuring sales goals, targets, and forecasts are met
  • Set appropriate metrics for sales management, and use sales force automation tools to effectively measure the sales team on metrics relevant to outcomes
  • Establish compensation, training, and sales incentive programs
  • Oversee the annual business planning for each hotel as well as all group and negotiated sales segment portion of the hotel budgets in the portfolio of managed properties
  • Ensure all marketing communications are coordinated, meet brand standards, and are an effective expenditure of resources for the properties in the portfolio. Review and maintain high standards in advertising and collateral for both the company and the hotels.
  • Provide input and support for the Company's leadership in new development proformas and hotel management presentations. Assist with the research and analysis of market demand for potential acquisitions. Assist in determining market positioning, franchise affiliation and sales strategies for new projects
  • Collaborate with hotel owners to develop strategies, policies and objectives to achieve results in each hotel
  • Build and maintain relationships with brand leadership to ensure Crestline can maximize brand value in each hotel (where applicable)
  • Adhere to, and ensure all staff adheres to, corporate policies and standards
  • Make recommendations on any improvements in business operations

 Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field (four-year college or university) required; or work equivalent experience.

 Experience:

  • 2-3 years in a senior management sales & marketing leadership role within the hospitality field and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multi-unit regional or national level position
  • Strong full service and lifestyle sales & marketing experience is required.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
  • Business-unit level sales or operations experience with responsibility for budget creation and achievement
  • Outstanding leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners
