Title: Google Cloud Platform Cloud Architect

Client. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Google Cloud Platform Cloud Architect on a 6-month contract basis to support our evolving Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) initiatives. This role is pivotal in guiding our internal teams through the initial phases of Google Cloud Platform adoption, focusing on innovation projects and exploratory testing. The ideal candidate will provide architectural leadership and strategic guidance, helping to define the scope and potential growth of our Google Cloud Platform footprint. This is a dynamic, capacity-based role where you will act as an integral part of our team, providing expertise and support as needed, rather than adhering to a rigid set of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert architectural guidance and best practices for Google Cloud Platform services and solutions.

Collaborate with internal teams to onboard new innovation projects onto Google Cloud Platform, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and organizational goals.

Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective Google Cloud Platform environments for various testing and proof-of-concept initiatives.

Evaluate and recommend appropriate Google Cloud Platform services (e.g., Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, networking components) based on project requirements.

Develop architectural patterns and reference architectures to facilitate consistent and efficient Google Cloud Platform deployments.

Assist in defining governance, security, and compliance standards for Google Cloud Platform environments.

Mentor and educate internal teams on Google Cloud Platform capabilities, architectural considerations, and operational best practices.

Contribute to the strategic assessment of Google Cloud Platform''s long-term viability and potential expansion within the organization.

Work closely with existing infrastructure, observability, security, and networking teams to ensure seamless integration and support.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience (5+ years) in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)

Proven track record of designing and implementing complex solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

Deep understanding of core Google Cloud Platform services, including IaaS, PaaS, and serverless offerings.

Experience with cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), and network architecture in Google Cloud Platform.

Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) on Google Cloud Platform.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Ability to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment with evolving requirements.

Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Architect certification is highly desirable.
