This effort will deliver secure cloud architecture, automated deployment pipelines, and security compliance enforcement across mission domains—bridging intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, combat applications, and command and control operations.

The Cloud & DSO Engineer will collaborate closely with government, mission partners, and SAIC teams to design and implement secure cloud-native platforms capable of addressing evolving warfighter requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement Mission-Focused DevSecOps Solutions: Build infrastructure as code (IaC) for C2E multi-cloud environments, ensuring compliance with DoD frameworks and deploying secure Kubernetes workloads.
  • Manage Multi-Security Cloud Operations: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud resources, performance, and costs within C2E environments, integrating logging and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Loki, Fluentd).
  • Strengthen Security and Vulnerability Management: Apply DoD cybersecurity policies (e.g., STIGs, RMF), perform system hardening, vulnerability scans, and implement automated remediation across cloud pipelines.
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Work with cross-functional teams to update cloud applications and produce technical documentation, system architectures, and pipeline guides.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Kubernetes orchestration and containerization tools: Docker, Helm, etc.
  • Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.
  • Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Proven track record implementing DevSecOps principles and tools (e.g., Checkmarx, SonarQube, Aqua Security).
  • Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including implementation of RMF, STIGs, SCAP compliance.
  • Experience with secure code development and vulnerability remediation.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certifications:
    • AWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.
    • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
