This role operates within a remote, telehealth setting, allowing you to connect directly with clients from the comfort of your own home. • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' mental health and substance use conditions, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Monitor the ongoing treatment of clients by performing prior authorization reviews to assess the medical necessity of services in respect to regulatory guidelines.
• Lead concurrent reviews of inpatient behavioral health services to evaluate treatment effectiveness, identify discharge needs, and coordinate follow-up care.
• Provide direct education and support to clients, their families, and health care providers regarding the mental health utilization process.
• Engage in effective communication with medical directors and clinic leadership to enhance care quality and operational efficiency.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, presenting case reviews and recommendations to support integrated care approaches.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.

In this position, you will work with a diverse patient population struggling with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse disorders. Your role is crucial in guiding clients through their recovery journeys, providing therapeutic interventions that empower them to achieve lasting change. You will utilize telehealth tools to build rapport and foster therapeutic relationships that resonate well with clients.

• A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
• A current license to practice independently as a mental health counselor.
• Excellent clinical skills complemented by strong communication abilities.

• Two years of professional experience in a mental health or substance use treatment setting.
• Familiarity with the mental health and substance abuse utilization review process.
• Experience in collaborative work environments, interacting with healthcare teams to improve client outcomes.
