• Evaluate patient needs through thorough assessments, including diagnostic and functional evaluations, and provide actionable recommendations to the primary care team regarding treatment goals and plans.
• Offer brief, focused therapeutic interventions for patients experiencing mental health challenges, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
• Coordinate with primary care providers to identify patients requiring specialty mental health services and facilitate appropriate referrals.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment approaches as necessary, ensuring optimal care and outcomes.
• Develop prevention plans for at-risk patients and provide resources to maintain their mental and emotional stability.
• Document patient interactions meticulously in compliance with clinic policies and federal regulations, maintaining the confidentiality and security of medical records.
• Conduct follow-up where needed, ensuring patients remain engaged and motivated in their treatment plans.
• Lead educational initiatives that promote self-management skills to empower patients in their recovery process.
• Consult with clinic management and team members on behavioral health services, contributing to program evaluation and development.
• Adhere to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals and participate in ongoing professional development and training.

The patients you will serve range from adolescents to adults dealing with a variety of mental health concerns. This includes individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional challenges that impact their daily functioning. Your role will be pivotal in helping these clients navigate their struggles and improve their overall wellbeing, making a significant impact on their quality of life.

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field is required.
• Valid and current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license in Georgia.
• Proficiency in performing mental health assessments and treatment planning with a deep understanding of developmental psychopathology and therapeutic methodologies.
• Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective interactions with patients, families, and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team setting.
• Strong organizational skills to effectively manage caseloads and clinical documentation.

• Experience working in an outpatient mental health setting or a healthcare facility is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the DSM-IV and understanding of psychotherapeutic techniques are preferred.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is considered a significant asset.
• A track record of successful collaboration with primary care providers and integration of behavioral health with physical health services.
