Lateral Insights is seeking an experienced Senior Security Analyst / Specialist for a 6-month contract to support one of our manufacturing clients. This remote role will focus on the functional and strategic security administration of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) and World systems, rather than purely technical execution.

The ideal candidate will lead efforts to engage with global business units, gather business requirements, and develop standardized user roles and access frameworks across regions and departments. The position is critical in ensuring secure, consistent, and compliant access to the JD Edwards environment?balancing business needs with IT security best practices, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Segregation of Duties (SoD), and Identity and Access Management (IAM).

Key Responsibilities:

Business Engagement & Role Design:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders globally to understand business processes and security requirements within JD Edwards.
  • Lead discovery sessions to identify current access patterns and future-state needs.
  • Design and document standardized user roles and access templates that align with job functions and reduce redundancy.

User Management:

  • Define and assign user roles, permissions, and application/data access within JD Edwards systems.
  • Manage onboarding/offboarding and provisioning workflows with a focus on consistency and compliance.

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC):

  • Implement and manage RBAC policies aligned with business functions and operational requirements.
  • Ensure that access rights are properly scoped to minimize risk.

Segregation of Duties (SoD):

  • Establish and monitor SoD controls to prevent conflicts of interest and unauthorized activities.
  • Collaborate with audit and compliance teams to review role combinations and mitigate SoD risks.

Object-Level Security:
