You will engage in virtual consultations, participate in team meetings via conference calls, and use secure electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client interactions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients to determine their mental health status and needs.
• Develop and implement personalized therapy plans that address the unique challenges and goals of each client.
• Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions, using evidence-based practices to promote client well-being.
• Provide psychoeducation and coping strategies to clients, empowering them with the tools needed to manage their mental health effectively.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, making referrals to psychiatrists or additional specialists when necessary to provide comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes within our EHR systems.
• Engage in crisis intervention, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients during challenging circumstances.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse demographic comprising individuals from various backgrounds, including those struggling with mental health disorders, substance abuse, and emotional distress. Our focus on cultural competence will guide your therapeutic approach, allowing you to effectively address the specific needs and concerns of clients from unique life experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.
• A minimum of four years of related experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating a strong foundation in counseling practice.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and therapeutic interventions suitable for diverse populations.
• Proven ability to deliver culturally responsive and inclusive individual and group therapy.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in working with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
• A firm commitment to upholding professional boundaries, ethical guidelines, and maintaining client confidentiality.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering comprehensive care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in treating clients with co-occurring disorders or complex mental health issues.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and education in mental health.

Compensation and Benefits

Focus and Balance Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
