Department: Insurance Operations

Schedule: Full-time, Days

Salary range: $138,258.29-$195,187.61 per year

Eligible for an annual bonus incentive

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Claims Management: Manage employment practices liability, crime, auto liability, property and other non-clinical claims and litigation. Oversee outside counsel in accordance with litigation management and billing guidelines. Liaise with the legal team on internal investigations and administrative actions.

  • Claims Reporting: Ensure compliance with insurance policy reporting requirements and provide claims reporting to brokers and insurance carriers via bordereau and individual notice of loss reporting. Manage proof of loss process for accurate claims reimbursement. Maintain claims information in the claims database.

  • Coverage Analysis: Analyze insurance coverage and draft responses to carrier reservation of rights and coverage positions to ensure coverage.

  • Reporting & Strategy: Present claims reports to leadership regarding loss development, financial exposure, and mitigation strategies. Attend mediations, settlement conferences and trials as necessary.

  • Collaboration: Support Insurance Operations with insurance renewals and placements, underwriter meetings, broker relationships and other insurance matters as necessary.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
What additional requirements you'll need
  • Attorney: 3+ years in Insurance Defense, Coverage Litigation, or Claims Management.
  • Paralegal: 7+ years in litigation management.
  • Claims Manager: 7+ years managing non-clinical litigation (EPL, D&O, etc.).
