Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year

Job Description

  • Handle construction and commercial litigation matters under the direction of senior attorneys.
  • Work on pre-litigation construction lien claims and payment bond claims.
  • Review client issues, analyze legal options, and help determine the best course of action.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings, proceedings, negotiations, and case strategy discussions.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, correspondence, settlement agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, senior attorneys, paralegals, staff, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Organize and maintain accurate case files to support attorneys, paralegals, and the broader litigation team.
  • Help resolve cases efficiently while delivering practical, client-focused legal counsel.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school required.
  • Active Texas law license required.
  • 6+ years of litigation experience required.
  • Construction litigation, commercial litigation, lien claims, payment bond claims, contract disputes, or business litigation experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong legal writing, research, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work closely with senior attorneys while managing meaningful litigation responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
  • ABA involvement is a plus but should not be treated as a hard requirement unless confirmed by the client.
