Job description

Piper Companies is seeking a Data Analyst to join a missiondriven Digital Transformation team focused on reshaping how patients and providers interact through innovative digital solutions. This role plays a key part in enabling datadriven decision making by transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive operational efficiency, product performance, and meaningful business outcomes. This position is fully remote , with occasional travel for teambuilding on client site.
Overview
In this role, you will partner with product, clinical, operational, and analytics stakeholders to understand business objectives, prepare and model data, and deliver reporting that clearly communicates progress toward key product goals. You will support the development of KPIs, build Power BI dashboards, and provide analytical insights that guide product and operational decisions. You will work under the supervision of the Sr. Director of Data & Analytics and collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, define, and document key performance metrics for digital products, ensuring consistent and repeatable KPI definitions.
  • Clean, model, and prepare data from the enterprise data warehouse and other primary sources using SQL, Python/Pandas, and Databricks.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and visualizations that clearly communicate product performance to stakeholders.
  • Respond to adhoc reporting requests by gathering and analyzing data to answer business and operational questions.
  • Communicate analytical findings through clear written summaries, presentations, and discussions with product, clinical, and operational teams.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analytics staff to operationalize data workflows and support modeling efforts.
  • Partner with product teams to understand business needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide datadriven recommendations.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, crossfunctional committees, and quality/service improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong data modeling and analysis skills, including experience with Databricks, Python/Pandas, and SQL.
  • Proficiency working with large relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server preferred).
  • Experience with version control tools such as GitHub or Azure DevOps.
  • Advanced Power BI skills, including building dashboards, visuals, and DAX measures.
  • Strong Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for diverse audiences.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 annually.
