Remote Childbirth Educator information

What is a remote childbirth educator?

A remote childbirth educator is a trained professional who provides education and support to expectant parents through virtual platforms, such as video calls, online classes, or webinars. They cover topics like labor and delivery, pain management, postpartum care, and newborn care. Remote childbirth educators help prepare parents for childbirth and parenting, offering guidance and answering questions from the comfort of the clients' homes. This role is especially valuable for those who may have difficulty attending in-person classes or prefer the flexibility of virtual learning.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote childbirth educator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Childbirth Educator, you need a solid background in maternal health, childbirth education certification (such as ICEA or Lamaze), and experience in teaching or healthcare. Familiarity with virtual teaching platforms, online communication tools, and digital resource management is essential. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly are crucial soft skills. These competencies ensure effective, engaging education for expectant parents in a virtual environment, promoting positive birth experiences and maternal outcomes.

What are some common challenges faced by remote childbirth educators, and how can they be addressed?

Remote childbirth educators often face challenges such as building rapport with expectant parents virtually, ensuring participant engagement, and adapting teaching materials for online formats. Overcoming these hurdles involves using interactive tools like polls and breakout rooms, providing clear communication, and regularly checking in with participants to address questions. Additionally, collaborating with healthcare professionals and staying updated on best practices helps ensure a supportive and effective learning environment.

Job Description:

The Regional Director is responsible for relationship management and business development of both existing and new clients in the Northern California region of the United States. They will lead all sales related activities as well as organize efforts of client services team members to effectively address the needs of advisors.

To be successful, the Regional Director must have a solid foundational knowledge of investments, capital markets and asset allocation theory. The ability to discuss the sophisticated investment solutions that Dimensional provides is critical to working with and influencing Advisors. Just as important, the Regional Director must have a strong business development and client service orientation and understand the issues and challenges Advisors face in building a client-centric, fee-based business.

  • Sales Success Factors: You drive commercial growth by doing the hard work that builds long-term trust. By showing up at regional events, networking actively, and genuinely supporting your clients, you create a pipeline of new business that naturally drives net new revenue.

Qualifications:

  • A personal alignment, understanding and appreciation of Dimensional's investment process, philosophy and business strategy.

  • Strong consultative sales abilities in building Advisor relationships and raising assets.

  • Extensive knowledge and network of fee-based Financial Advisors who may share a similar investment philosophy to Dimensional or with enough intellectual curiosity to want to learn more about it.

  • An entrepreneurial spirit with high energy and passion; a self-starter.

  • Must have10+ years of experience in the Financial Services Industry.

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or CFA stronglypreferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical investment approaches and key Dimensional selling points in a clear and compelling manner.

  • Ability to present Dimensional's products and philosophy to small and large groups.

  • Competitive but highly collaborative with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • SIE (Securities Industry Essentials), Series 7, and Series 63/66 licenses required; SIE and Series 7 must be obtained within the first 12 weeks of hire as a condition of employment
