Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Software Engineer III to help design, build, and scale or agentic chatbot platform. This role focuses on product delivery of conversational AI capabilities that solve business problems inside a complex benefits ecosystem.
The Gig:
  • Design, build, test, and deploy production software for an agentic chatbot platform across intake, orchestration, retrieval, answer generation, caching, and platform integrations
  • Deliver clean, efficient code based on sprint commitments and following code standards and best practices
  • Actively participate in discussions, coding, testing while continuously providing feedback and influential contributions
  • Work productively with the Product, Tech Leads, Architects, and partner teams to align on design strategy, trade-offs, and delivery approach
  • Provide strong merge request feedback focused on business requirements, correctness, security, performance, maintainability, and implementation risk
  • Communicate effectively with peers and customers to drive the right outcome for the team and customers through active listening, gaining diverse perspectives, direct testing, experience and considering overall design impact
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
  • Creative thinking and proposing solutions to grow our business by delighting our clients May perform other duties as assigned

What you need to make the cut:
  • BS in Computer Science, CIS, Software Engineering or related degree
  • 8+ years of experience in Large Scale Enterprise Development
  • Extensive knowledge of Phyton, JAVA, SQL, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery, backend service development, APIs, and frameworks such as FastAPI
  • Experience with LINUX, Eclipse IDE, GIT, JIRA, Agile Development Methodology and XSL is a plus
  • Experience with OpenAI or other LLM APIs, Prompt design, tool orchestration, response evaluation, retrieval, search, or reranking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Any experience with development in the following areas is helpful:
    • AWS and AWS Lambda's
    • User interface development
    • Mobile development with HTML5 or Swift
    • Bootstrap, JQuery, or React Native
    • Billing and Payroll
    • Data import/export, SSO, or large-scale EDI

The pay range for this position is 103,600 - 162,000 per year (pay to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data).
This role is eligible to participate in the bonus incentive plan.
