As a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions via video chat to address and improve clients' mental health concerns.
• Encouraging clients to openly discuss their emotions, past experiences, and relationships to foster self-awareness and insight.
• Serving as an advocate for clients, assisting them in defining their personal goals and objectives for treatment.
• Evaluating clients' mental health conditions and creating comprehensive, solution-focused treatment plans leveraging your clinical expertise.

Your clients will consist of a diverse group of carefully screened individuals—stable adults with low acuity mental health concerns. This role excludes severe mental health cases, allowing you to focus on helping clients develop coping strategies and gain insights into their experiences. We ensure that you are matched with clients that align with your specialties and demographic preferences, providing a tailored counseling experience.

We require the following qualifications for our Remote Mental Health Counselor position:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Full licensure by the state board in good standing to practice independently without supervision, including:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
• Strong interpersonal skills and a sympathetic nature, essential for fostering a rapport with clients.
• Proficiency in technology and online communication platforms.

While not mandatory, previous experience in a remote counseling setting or familiarity with telehealth practices will be advantageous. Additionally, having knowledge of diverse therapeutic modalities that resonate with adult clients can enhance your effectiveness in this role.
