Chat and Change Counseling, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time capacity. • Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to gather comprehensive histories of patients' trauma experiences, which will guide individualized treatment planning.
• Develop, implement, and periodically review tailored treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and building resilience in clients.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate recovery.
• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients process their trauma, enhance coping strategies, and promote overall mental wellness.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, encompassing medication management and therapeutic support.
• Respond to crisis situations by providing immediate interventions and support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to foster recovery.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of sessions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development focused on trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay informed on cutting-edge research, continuing education opportunities, and advancements in trauma therapy to enhance personal and organizational practice.

The primary patient population includes individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, leading to conditions such as PTSD, severe anxiety, and depression. Our focus is on creating a nurturing environment that acknowledges each client's unique experiences, facilitating personalized therapy that resonates with their healing journey.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is required.
• A deep understanding of trauma-informed principles and therapeutic modalities.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to client interactions, with a focus on building trust and rapport.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills for documentation and teletherapy sessions.
• The ability to stay composed and effective under pressure, especially in high-stress situations.

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we are particularly interested in candidates who have a demonstrated history of working with trauma-related therapies and who can showcase their innovative approaches to client care.
