• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments, evaluating clients’ trauma histories to develop tailored treatment strategies.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience, leveraging trauma-specific methodologies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, using appropriate interventions to help clients process trauma and cultivate coping skills.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Respond to crisis situations with effective interventions, and provide immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies, empowering them with knowledge and resources.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings focused on best practices for trauma-informed care.
• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to enhance treatment efficacy.

Our client base primarily consists of individuals experiencing various trauma-related issues, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work with clients from diverse backgrounds, each with unique experiences and needs. Your role will be pivotal in aiding their recovery, helping them build the necessary skills to navigate their challenges effectively.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in Georgia.
• Proficiency in trauma-related disorders and an understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a compassionate demeanor and non-judgmental approach.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, especially in high-stress situations.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications is required.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience providing therapy in a mental health setting, with a focus on trauma.
• Demonstrated expertise in trauma-focused therapies and interventions is strongly preferred.
