Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments that meticulously evaluate patients' trauma histories to tailor appropriate treatment approaches.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and resilience, utilizing therapeutic modalities like EMDR and TF-CBT.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a space for patients to process traumas, develop adaptive coping strategies, and foster healing.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated treatment for all clients.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and stability.
  • Offer educational resources to patients and families regarding trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to empower informed decision-making.
  • Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will predominantly work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Texas.
