Job description

Who we are:

Founded in 2013, Ignition is the leading revenue and billing automation platform for firms and agencies to transform their sales, billing and payment processes.
Ignition automates proposals, engagement letters, invoicing, payments and workflows in a single AI-powered platform, empowering 8,500+ businesses to sell, bill and get paid for their services with ease.
To date, Ignition customers have managed relationships with over 2.4 million clients and earned $13b in revenue via the platform. Ignition's global workforce spans Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the Philippines, US and the UK.

Company Values:
  • We are better everyday

  • We work without ego

  • We are smarter together

  • We hero our customer

About the role:

You'll own lifecycle marketing and product-led growth (PLG) for Ignition. You’ll be responsible for driving our self-serve growth engine end-to-end: trial-to-paid conversion, lifecycle email marketing and retention, and our website's AI chatbot experience.

You'll direct a shared layer of AI agents, including our Lifecycle Agent (an AI-powered lifecycle marketing automation tool) and a prospecting agent, rather than hand-building every campaign yourself. You define the strategy, journeys, and quality bar for far more lifecycle volume than one person could hand-build, and the agents are your production team. You'll still spend real time reviewing drafts and maintaining the knowledge base that powers the Lifecycle Agent, agent-led doesn't mean hands-off. You don't need years of experience running agents to do this well, just genuine curiosity and a drive to build that fluency here.

Location: Remote role. Candidates must be based in either Ontario or British Columbia with full working rights.

Hours of Work: This is a global role with primary support for the AMER region, so your core working hours will generally align with Eastern and Pacific time zones. As you'll also partner with colleagues across APAC, some flexibility will be required to enable effective global collaboration. We believe flexibility goes both ways, so you'll have the autonomy to structure your day in a way that balances collaboration, deep focus, and personal commitments.

What you'll own:
  • PLG / self-serve conversion: trial-to-paid is your number. Own trial activation, onboarding, and the self-serve roadmap with Product.

  • Lifecycle & retention marketing: nurture, onboarding journeys, reactivation, and segmentation, powered by the Lifecycle Agent; you define the journeys and quality bar, and direct the agent's production.

  • Knowledge base ownership: you own the Lifecycle Agent's content/knowledge base (themes, audiences, hooks, and calls-to-action).

  • AI chatbot: own AI-Chat, our website's conversational AI assistant: its accuracy, its answers, and how it routes prospects to sales.

  • Agent governance: define what "good" looks like, audit output on a regular cadence, and stay accountable for everything that ships in your domain.

  • Cross-functional partnership with RevOps/Marketing Ops, Product, and Product Marketing.

How you'll be measured:
  • Trial-to-paid conversion rate and self-serve net-new ARR

  • Lifecycle-influenced retention and expansion

  • Quality and brand integrity of everything that ships in your domain

  • Experimentation velocity. Tests shipped, learnings compounded

This Opportunity May be a Fit if you Have:
  • Real lifecycle marketing, email marketing, or product-led growth (PLG) experience at a SaaS company.

  • Genuine curiosity about AI and agent-led operations - you don't need years of experience running agents, but you should be excited to build that fluency and use it to own more of the funnel yourself.

  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot or a similar marketing automation/CRM platform, plus Amplitude or similar experimentation/analytics tooling.

  • An owner's mindset, using data to drive decision making and deliver results.

  • High ownership mentality: you care about outcomes, not just activity

Nice to have:
  • Professional-services, fintech, or vertical-SaaS experience

Why join us:
  • Global SaaS organization - category leader in revenue management from proposals to payments

  • We work without ego in a collaborative, open and transparent work culture

  • Competitive salary

  • Health/Dental/Vision insurance from day 1 of employment, along with RRSP matching after 3 months of employment

  • Employee recognition programs

  • Quarterly wellness allowance to spend on your wellness and what this means to you

  • Flexible working supported by work from office reimbursement and cell phone allowance to allow you to set yourself up to work from home

  • Personal tax return assistance - after all, we are in the accounting business!

  • 20 days accrued paid time off annually , along with 10 annual wellbeing days

  • An extra paid day off to celebrate your birthday, alongside paid volunteering leave

Compensation Information:

Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on state/location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
