This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to provide crucial mental health support to patients in a comfortable and convenient setting. If you are passionate about improving the lives of individuals with mood disorders and value a supportive work culture, we encourage you to apply.

About the Organization

At Countryside Psychiatric Services, we are committed to delivering high-quality mental health care to a diverse array of clients seeking assistance with mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our community health clinic is at the forefront of psychiatric outpatient care, characterized by a patient-centered approach that emphasizes comprehensive treatment, ongoing support, and continuous improvement of mental health services.

Work Environment

In this remote role, you will operate within a collaborative, virtual team-focused atmosphere where communication and teamwork drive our impact. Regular meetings, case consultations, and professional development workshops will ensure you remain connected and engaged with your peers. We believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance and offer a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, so you can manage both your professional and personal responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the symptoms, severity, and impact of mood disorders on clients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, aligning therapeutic strategies with their unique goals and preferences.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring that interventions are grounded in the latest research and best practices.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and coping mechanisms, empowering them to take charge of their mental health journey.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate clients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving needs.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, including the possibility of psychopharmacological treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in adherence to legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in ongoing team discussions, case reviews, and training seminars to enhance your knowledge and skills in treating mood disorders.
  • Advocate for clients' mental health needs and support initiatives aimed at reducing the stigma surrounding mood disorders.

You will work closely with a diverse population, including varying demographics and socio-economic backgrounds, helping them navigate the challenges of mental health issues and facilitating their journey toward recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Virginia.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, notably CBT and DBT.
  • A solid understanding of psychopharmacology, enhancing collaborative efforts with psychiatrists.
  • Exceptional communication skills, complemented by the ability to build rapport with individuals from various backgrounds.
Preferred Experience

While not required, we prefer candidates with a proven track record of effectively treating mood disorders and demonstrated success in client engagement and retention. Familiarity with remote therapeutic tools and online platforms will be considered a plus, as it aligns with our commitment to modern, flexible service delivery.
