Title: Functional Project Manager (Healthcare)

Role Summary
We’re looking for a Functional Project Manager with strong healthcare domain experience to lead business-driven projects across clinical, operational, and revenue-cycle teams. This role focuses on requirements, workflow optimization, stakeholder management, UAT, go-live readiness, and delivery governance while partnering with IT, vendors, and clinical SMEs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project delivery end-to-end: scope, timeline, budget, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Run discovery sessions with stakeholders (clinical, billing, compliance, IT) and document BRD/FRD, process flows, and user stories.
- Understand and map healthcare workflows (patient access, scheduling, clinical documentation, orders, results, claims, authorizations, etc.).
- Drive governance: RAID log, change control, communication plan, steering committee updates, and weekly status reporting.
- Coordinate UAT with clinical/business users: test planning, defect triage, and sign-off.
- Manage go-live planning: cutover checklists, training coordination, hypercare support, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Ensure compliance alignment (HIPAA, PHI handling, audit requirements) in planning and execution.
- Coordinate across internal teams and vendors (EHR/EMR, clearinghouse, payer integrations, reporting partners).
- Track metrics and adoption to ensure business value and process improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of Project Management experience, with healthcare domain projects.
- Strong functional skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Experience delivering projects involving EHR/EMR workflows and/or revenue cycle operations.
- Strong UAT leadership experience and ability to drive business sign-offs.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work with clinicians, operations, compliance, and IT.
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall (hybrid experience preferred).
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience with systems like Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or similar.
- Healthcare integrations knowledge: HL7, FHIR, interfaces, lab systems, scheduling, claims/eligibility.
