Position Summary

This position is staffed at two labor categories: Management Consultant III (MC-III) and Management Consultant IV (MC-IV). The role, responsibilities, and core qualifications are consistent across all levels; the required years of experience, degree of independence, and scope of ownership increase with each level, as shown under Level-Specific Requirements below.

The Data Integration and Interface Analyst supports the OneStream implementation by helping define, validate, test, and stabilize data flows across source systems, staging layers, remediation processes, and downstream reporting platforms. This role works closely with technical developers, source system owners, data teams, finance stakeholders, and PMO resources to ensure interfaces, mappings, controls, and validation criteria support accurate, complete, timely, and traceable end-to-end data movement. The role emphasizes source-to-target validation, 3-way reconciliation, interface stability, documentation discipline, cutover readiness, and post-go-live issue resolution for critical integrations such as ERP feeds, GTAS-related data, Advana integration, and historical/current source data loads.

Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs consultants and professionals with unique skill sets to support the federal government with strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support definition of integration requirements, interface controls, mapping logic, and validation criteria for data movement across source and target platforms.

• Help design, test, and validate batch feeds, APIs, file transfers, and transformation jobs that support OneStream and downstream reporting needs.

• Validate source-to-target data movement across source systems, staging layers, data outputs, and reporting platforms to confirm completeness, timeliness, and accuracy.

• Reconcile data across integration layers and support 3-way reconciliation activities to identify breaks between source systems, transformed data, and reporting outputs.

• Troubleshoot load failures, schema issues, mapping defects, field mismatches, rejected records, and processing exceptions; document root causes and coordinate fixes with technical teams.

• Confirm synchronization of reference data, master data, mappings, and key attributes needed for reliable federal reporting and downstream processing.

• Support data testing, SIT, UAT, cutover validation, and early production monitoring for integration-related capabilities.

• Partner with technical developers, source system owners, and business stakeholders to resolve recurring data movement issues and improve control points that reduce rework.

• Maintain documentation for interface logic, transformation rules, reconciliation procedures, issue resolution steps, and operational support handoff.

• Assist during go-live and stabilization by triaging production issues quickly and helping restore reliable end-to-end data movement.

Required Qualifications

• Experience supporting data integration, interface management, ETL/data transformation, or system remediation activities in a federal or enterprise platform implementation.

• Strong understanding of source-to-target mapping, interface controls, batch processing, file-based integrations, APIs, and reconciliation methods.

• Ability to analyze data movement across multiple layers and identify root causes of failures, mismatches, incomplete loads, and transformation defects.

• Familiarity with federal accounting, GL structures, and government finance data flows

• Experience supporting structured testing activities, including SIT, UAT, defect triage, regression validation, and production readiness.

• Familiarity with federal implementation delivery expectations such as traceability, documentation control, approval cycles, cutover discipline, and stabilization support.

• Ability to work across technical, data, reporting, and PMO teams in a documentation-heavy and compliance-forward environment.

• Strong documentation skills for mappings, interface specifications, validation evidence, issue logs, and support procedures.

• Experience with financial system integrations, ERP feeder files, historical/current data loads, or downstream reporting interfaces is preferred.

• DoD Experience a plus
