Job description

VP / Director of Segment Growth - Residential & Commercial Real Estate The opportunity

PropertyRadar is hiring a segment owner to lead the full commercial performance of our Residential Real Estate and Commercial Real Estate segments, including the Property Management and Short-Term Rental subsegments.

This is a senior, cross-functional leadership role reporting directly to the CEO and sitting at the leadership table. You will own the strategy, positioning, go-to-market, product feedback loop, partner ecosystem, and revenue growth for two of our largest and most competitive markets.

This seat is specifically anchored on marketing and product-marketing strength. We are looking for the person who can sharpen how we position, message, segment, and take these products to market-while owning the number. The title will flex between VP of Segment Growth and Director of Segment Growth based on experience.

About PropertyRadar

PropertyRadar is a profitable, owner-operated proptech company that has been in business since 2007. We give small local businesses the property and property-owner data, along with the outbound marketing tools, they need to generate hyperlocal leads with consistency and quality.

Our mission is to help small local businesses compete and win against large companies. We run on EOS, operate AI-first, and move fast.

What you'll own
  • Positioning and messaging: Build the customer-centered story that differentiates PropertyRadar with residential agents, commercial brokers, property managers, and short-term rental operators.
  • Segment strategy: Develop a deep command of the ICP, personas, segmentation, buying behavior, and market dynamics across residential and commercial real estate.
  • Revenue growth: Own net-new, winback, and expansion revenue for your segments. Marketing strength is how you get there-not a substitute for delivering the result.
  • Go-to-market and launches: Define channel strategy and prioritization, lead segment-specific launches, and shape the event strategy that turns our data and tools into customer results.
  • Competitive intelligence: Stay close to industry and competitive developments, then translate what you learn into positioning and strategies that win.
  • Product feedback and roadmap: Serve as the primary internal voice of these customers. Drive Voice of Customer through interviews, feedback, and requests, and act as a key partner to Product in roadmap decisions.
  • Partner and affiliate recruitment: Identify and develop relationships with brokerages, teams, associations, MLSs, coaches, CRE firms, and property management and short-term rental software ecosystems. You recruit and engage; Growth Marketing runs program mechanics and enablement.
  • Segment plays and marketplace offerings: Own the plays and marketplace offerings that turn PropertyRadar's data into measurable results for customers.
  • Enablement and training: Provide segment and product training for internal teams and new hires, with significant input into onboarding for your segments.
  • Industry presence: Represent PropertyRadar externally and build credibility with the residential and commercial real estate communities over time.
  • Channel and customer experience partnership: Partner with CX on FRI prioritization and other initiatives that improve the customer experience.

You will operate within our Segment Owner Playbook, the shared framework used by every segment owner.

Who we're looking for

This role requires a rare combination of three strengths. You need all three:

  1. Deep residential and commercial real estate expertise-with a network to prove it. You understand how agents, brokers, property managers, and short-term rental operators actually generate business. You bring relationships across brokerages, teams, associations, coaches, CRE firms, MLSs, and related ecosystems-and can pick up the phone and move quickly.
  2. Marketing strategy and product-marketing capability. Positioning, messaging, segmentation, competitive strategy, launches, and go-to-market are your home turf. You have done this work yourself and can point to examples where your strategy moved a meaningful business outcome.
  3. A track record of owning and delivering revenue. You have owned a number, translated strategy into pipeline and revenue, and are comfortable being measured on results rather than activity.

Beyond those three requirements, you are:

  • AI-native: You reach for agentic systems and AI tooling before you reach for headcount.
  • Entrepreneurial and ownership-driven: You treat the segment like your own business and take responsibility for the full outcome.
  • Direct, decisive, and low-ego: You move quickly, make clear decisions, and do not need a large team to create momentum.
Non-negotiables
  • Deep residential and commercial real estate domain expertise and a strong industry network
  • Demonstrated marketing strategy or product-marketing capability, including positioning, messaging, segmentation, and go-to-market
  • A track record of owning and delivering a revenue number
  • An AI-first working style
  • Based in the United States
Compensation and logistics
  • Base salary: $135,000 - $225,000 depending on experience and title (VP vs. Director)
  • On-target earnings: $225,000-$250,000, including base salary and performance-based variable compensation tied to segment revenue growth
  • Benefits: Full benefits package, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and flexible PTO
Nice to have
  • Experience spanning both residential and commercial real estate
  • Familiarity with property management and short-term rental markets
  • An existing audience, platform, or thought-leadership presence in real estate
  • Prior experience as a segment owner, general manager, or product-marketing leader
