Job description

Job Title: Asset Manager - Hospital Setting Location: Hartford, Connecticut Type: Contract Compensation: $70,000 - $125,000.00 Contractor Work Model: Onsite โ€“ onsite

Overview The Asset Manager II will be responsible to work with a set of customers to review energy usage and strategies in order to implement the best practices. This will include directly managing the O&M of the CEP for the campus, working with, and mentoring the owner's staff on the O&M and energy usage of multiple facilities as part of a greater campus effort.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a set of customers to review energy usage and strategies to implement best practices.
  • Manage the O&M of the Central Energy Plant (CEP) for the campus, working with and mentoring the ownerโ€™s staff on O&M and energy usage across multiple facilities.
  • Review energy usage daily, provide guidance, and recommend modifications to current operations.
  • Mentor the owner on energy strategies to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage CEP operations and maintenance, including subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers.
  • Oversee Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the CEP.
  • Collaborate with plant operators to ensure efficient plant operation.
  • Conduct ongoing training for Plant Operators.
  • Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual.
  • Assist the EPC team with engineering, procurement, and construction coordination related to OMC operations.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts on-site with remote support teams.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in mechanical construction with a large mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant, or management experience in a central plant or facility.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET Accredited Program); FE preferred.
  • Travel required 0-5% of the time to job sites or office locations.
  • Physical activities include ascending/descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to remain in stationary positions for extended periods and work in various environments, including confined spaces.
