Job description

Required Skills & Experience:

  • HS Diploma
  • Working experience with Iodine (and EPIC)
  • 2-3 years working experience as CDI working on complex cases (ED, Cardiac, Critical Care, OR, etc. )
  • Working experience analyzing provider documentation within an acute/critical care/hospital setting
  • Coming from high-volume, Level 1 or 2 hospital system
  • Clinical background in nursing, case management or as a coding professional (DRG preferred)



Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • CCDS (Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist) or CDIP (Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner)
  • Licensed RN

This Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Analyst is responsible for ensuring that patient medical records are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory and coding standards. They will work closely with physicians, nurses, and coding teams to improve the quality of clinical documentation, which directly supports appropriate reimbursement, quality reporting, and patient care outcomes. The goal is to identify gaps, inconsistencies or missing diagnosis in provider documentation. They will need to handle 15 record reviews per day (new or re-reviews)
