Your role as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist will encompass various responsibilities aimed at improving client outcomes:

• Conduct comprehensive intake sessions with clients, gathering critical information to assess initial treatment needs.
• Utilize the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders V (DSM V) to formulate mental health diagnoses for clients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate best practice guidelines tailored to each client’s needs.
• Render therapeutic services using evidence-based treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification techniques, and brief therapy approaches.
• Provide ongoing support and therapeutic counseling to assigned clients, ensuring the delivery of quality care while addressing complex, co-occurring diagnoses.
• Offer clinical supervision and mentorship to Mental Health Workers and therapy assistants to ensure high standards of care throughout the team.
• Collaborate with other community professionals to create cross-system treatment plans that holistically address the client's needs.
• Quickly assess crisis situations, offering timely intervention and ensuring clients receive the appropriate level of care during emergency instances.

This role primarily focuses on clients from diverse backgrounds, with a significant emphasis on supporting mothers and families facing unique social and economic challenges. You will work with individuals, families, and groups to provide essential mental health interventions, fostering resilience and promoting mental wellness within the community.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required, while a Master’s or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD) from an accredited institution is strongly preferred.
• A valid independent license in Oregon (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC) is necessary to practice in this role.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and strong technology skills to facilitate remote consultations.
• Excellent email communication skills for engaging with clients and collaborating with team members.
• A deep understanding of co-occurring mental health and chemical dependency disorders to effectively support a broad client demographic.
• The ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload efficiently.
• A passion for making a significant impact on the lives of individuals and advocating for better behavioral healthcare practices.

Ideal candidates will have relevant training and experience in evidence-based practices. Experience in community mental health settings and with populations that face systemic barriers to health services is also highly valued.
