As an LCSW at High Point Family and Marriage Counseling, you will be pivotal in delivering comprehensive counseling services. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to identify the unique counseling needs of clients.
• Utilizing DSM criteria for accurate substance abuse diagnosis and applying ASAM criteria to determine appropriate care levels for clients.
• Developing and implementing the substance abuse counseling component of individualized treatment plans.
• Creating effective discharge and continuum of care plans to ensure clients transition smoothly to subsequent levels of support.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation that includes counseling records, assessments, and follow-ups, ensuring the highest standard of clinical practice is upheld.
• Managing an active caseload, engaging in case management, treatment planning, and utilization review processes as required.
• Coordinating support services with clients and their families, documenting all services provided.
• Establishing and maintaining communication with referral sources such as legal entities, schools, and employers to ensure holistic support for clients.
• Facilitating crisis interventions through a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team approach.

This position focuses on individuals experiencing co-occurring conditions, often struggling with substance use disorders alongside mental health challenges. The LCSW will provide vital therapeutic intervention that fosters long-term recovery, emotional well-being, and reintegration into community life.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A valid LCSW license in the state of Illinois.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field; advanced education preferred.
• Demonstrated professionalism, strong therapeutic boundaries, and exceptional cultural competency.
• Self-motivation and excellent organizational skills for effective case management.
• Ability to navigate the complexities of treatment planning and crisis intervention.

While experience in addiction treatment is essential, candidates with the following experiences will be given preference:

• Hands-on experience working with diverse populations facing addiction and mental health issues.
• Prior engagement in a fast-paced clinical setting, particularly in remote counseling.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation requirements.
