Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to understand the specific mental health needs of your clients, ensuring that each treatment plan aligns with evidence-based practices.
• Implementing various therapeutic interventions tailored to individual clients, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other solution-focused modalities.
• Maintaining meticulous and timely clinical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other mental health professionals to ensure cohesive and coordinated care for each patient.
• Participating in weekly case consultations and peer review meetings aimed at enhancing the delivery of mental health services and sharing best practices with your colleagues.
• Providing psychoeducation and support to clients and their families, equipping them with the information and resources necessary to navigate mental health issues and treatment options.
• Staying current with the latest research and developments in the field of social work and mental health, applying this knowledge to your clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.

As an LCSW within our hospice center, you will work with a varied demographic of clients who are facing significant life transitions and mental health challenges. These may include patients battling terminal illnesses, their families, and caregivers dealing with grief and loss. Your role will be critical in providing therapeutic support that enhances their emotional resilience, dignity, and overall well-being during this time of vulnerability.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in providing psychotherapy services.
• Proficiency in solution-focused therapeutic techniques, including familiarity with evidence-based practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with clients and collaborating effectively with team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex client needs.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and maintain productivity in a remote setting.

While not required, candidates with additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities or extensive experience working in hospice, palliative care, or grief counseling will be viewed favorably.
