Job Summary:

The Sr. Capture Manager position plays a critical role driving the Signal Technologies business of long-term growth in a specialized domestic market, representing Mercury's businesses/sites with a successful track record in running and winning strategic Captures. The Processing Technologies division has a broad product line.

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading capture for a dynamic growth mission and will work closely with the Senior Capture Director and a broader support team of subject matter experts.This role will be responsible for shaping opportunities and ultimately winning business with a lifetime value over $100M.

The candidate must have demonstrated experience successfully leading medium to large captures, to include extensive experience with customer engagement, strategy development, resource planning, and internal acquisition processes. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading diverse teams, be a strong communicator, and be able to work successfully within classified requirements.

The selected candidate will support Mercury's Signal Technologies Business Unit.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define the capture strategy for the opportunity. Working with leadership to define the overall approach to winning the defined opportunity
  • Inform and receive approval from stakeholders. Provide status updates to leadership of progress and successfully obtain approval at various stage gates as the Capture matures
  • Fully own and lead the Capture Team. Manage a team that also will manage resources to successfully execute the Capture Strategy
  • Plan all customer interactions during active Captures. Align all engagements with the overall Capture Strategy
  • Collect competitive intelligence and define Price to Win. Work with capture team to insure we have necessary information to develop a correct Price to Win and develop a solution that maximizes our chances of winning
  • Work with the capture team to develop strong customer value propositions (CVPs) and Win Strategies to ensure we are meeting the customer most valued requirements
  • Be a trusted partner for the Business Unit VP for all Captures occurring in that Business Unit. While not personally leading all captures, you will have responsibility to brief and maintain oversight of all captures in that Business Unit

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Typically requires 10+ years in multiple relevant disciplines including Capture, Business Development, Engineering, Program Management and Sales in the aerospace and defense industry
  • Experience leading teams through influence.
  • Experience with DoD technologies and vendors that are often selected to deliver these capabilities.
  • Must be in a commutable range to one of the offices listed
  • Ability to travel to Mercury sites and customer facilities during peak proposal times (expected travel 10-30%)

Preferred Qualification:

  • Physically located near Mercury's, Hudson, NH/West Caldwell, NJ sites for hybrid work or potential for remote.
  • Capture certification by Shipley, Miller-Heiman, or equivalent
  • Must be able to understand and quickly learn Microelectronics products & technology to analyze customer requirements and confidently communicate Mercury solutions and customer value propositions
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, collaborating, and creating relationships.
  • Current Secret clearance or ability to obtain
