This role operates entirely in a remote capacity, leveraging technology to provide telehealth services to clients in California. • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, including pre-crisis and crisis plans to effectively address client needs.
• Maintain meticulous documentation according to regulatory standards and ensure timely completion of necessary forms.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools in collaboration with the clinical team to evaluate client progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams to formulate and implement positive behavior support plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Participate actively in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the standards of care.
• Serve as a liaison between the organization and relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners to enhance client support networks.
• Establish effective communication channels to meet contract standards and advocate for the mission of mental health awareness in the community.
• Network with local, state, federal, and private organizations to secure potential partnerships and funding sources essential for program sustainability.
• Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities by attending workshops, conferences, and statewide meetings related to mental health.
• Embrace and effectively communicate the values, philosophy, and principles of Bright Harbor Wellness Solutions.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support organizational goals.

This position primarily serves a diverse clientele needing mental health support, including individuals recovering from substance use disorders, those living with developmental disabilities, and clients who have suffered acquired brain injuries. The counselor will work diligently to create a supportive and understanding therapeutic environment that meets the varied needs of each individual.

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is required.
• An independent LMHC license to practice in California is mandatory.

• Experience in telehealth or remote counseling is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize client care.
• Understanding of evidence-based practices in mental health therapy is preferred.
