• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients’ emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting their diagnosis and treatment.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans, employing appropriate social work interventions to facilitate positive patient outcomes.
• Provide direct support and intervention, including crisis management and therapeutic services, to patients and their families to cope with challenges related to illness and life situations.
• Engage in multidisciplinary care discussions, collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of seamless and effective care.
• Facilitate discharge planning and resource management, working with various stakeholders including healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure smooth transitions for patients.
• Educate and counsel patients and families on adapting to health challenges, creating educational materials to enhance understanding of their conditions.
• Participate in on-call rotations, providing support for after-hours needs and attending to emergency situations as required.
• Present at educational conferences, sharing knowledge and expertise in psychosocial oncology, while serving as a resource to colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
• Involve in community outreach efforts that strengthen services and programs available for patients and families affected by cancer.
• Support the professional growth of fellow social workers through mentorship and guidance, encouraging ongoing education in the field of oncology social work.

You will work closely with patients experiencing emotional stressors related to their health conditions, developing tailored intervention strategies to support their mental and emotional fortitude. • A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in the state of Texas is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW) or a related field.

• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience with electronic health records and documentation practices in a clinical setting.

• Experience in a community health or oncology social work setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with mental health assessments and crisis intervention strategies.
• Previous experience presenting at professional conferences or training sessions.
• Demonstrated involvement in community outreach or education initiatives will be an added advantage.

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
