Position Summary

The Sourcing Specialist supports strategic sourcing activities across assigned spend categories, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant procurement. This role executes sourcing strategies, supports supplier relationship management, and contributes to sourcing initiatives that improve cost, quality, and delivery performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned categories.
  • Analyze spend data, supplier performance, and market trends to identify cost savings and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Program teams to support project quoting and develop buy plans.
  • Lead sourcing activities including RFIs, RFPs, and bid evaluations, with guidance from senior sourcing leadership.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals based on total value, including cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and participation in quarterly business reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and preferred supplier programs.
  • Review and process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders as needed.
  • Communicate changes in pricing, lead times, or supply risks to internal stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts, including cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and process optimization.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and sourcing initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate data in ERP and procurement systems.
  • All Other Duties as Assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement.
  • Experience supporting supplier negotiations and sourcing initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Working knowledge of contracts, supplier terms, and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and standard business tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver clear presentations to stakeholders on sourcing activities, supplier performance, and recommendations.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time depending on business needs.
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. Person in accordance with ALU 22 CFR 120.15.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Professional certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CPM).

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, reach, and lift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a desk or table as well as machine tools or printers.
