Job description

Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst
Contract Type / Duration: Contract through March 2026 (with potential to extend or convert)
Location: Remote – Preferred states: Missouri, Texas, Florida, Minnesota, Illinois, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Arizona, Michigan, California, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Ohio
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, standard business hours; occasional overtime on deployment nights (typically every other Thursday)

We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support two agile squads working within the SAFe framework. This role will collaborate with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into well-defined technical requirements. The analyst will also write user stories, perform data analysis, and ensure the backlog remains properly groomed to support ongoing development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and support agile delivery.

  • Write detailed technical user stories, including acceptance criteria.

  • Collaborate with product managers to elaborate requirements.

  • Maintain a groomed backlog of technically clear and actionable stories.

  • Perform ad hoc database queries using SQL and Postman to identify data attributes and mappings.

  • Conduct gap analysis between old and new systems.

  • Support deployments, including occasional overtime on release nights.
