The Business Systems Analyst serves as the liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver high-quality system solutions that support business objectives. This role is responsible for analyzing business needs, eliciting and documenting requirements, supporting solution design, facilitating testing, and ensuring successful implementation of technology enhancements and new capabilities.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements that drive effective solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand, gather, analyze, document, validate, and manage business and system requirements
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for system improvements, automation, workflow optimization, and other enhancements
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business rules
  • Perform impact analysis to identify risks, assumptions, dependencies, downstream effects, and implementation considerations
  • Act as a liaison between business users, Product Managers, Architects, Developers, QA, and operational teams to deliver technology solutions
  • Support solution design and ensure requirements and proposed solutions align with business objectives and customer needs
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritization, UAT, release activities, and production validation
  • Perform testing activities, defect triage, user acceptance testing, and validation of delivered solutions
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including requirements, user stories, process flows, traceability matrices, business rules, and operational procedures
  • Investigate production issues, coordinate root-cause analysis with technical teams, and support issue resolution
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet business, operational, compliance, quality, and customer requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in Business Systems Analysis
  • 4 years of strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
  • 4 years of experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and system requirements
  • 4 years of experience creating functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business rules
  • 4 years of experience supporting Agile delivery methodologies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and release activities
  • 4 years of experience partnering with business, product, architecture, development, QA, and operations teams to deliver technology solutions
  • 3 years of experience with Jira, Rally, SQL, reporting tools, APIs, system integrations and data analysis
  • 3 years of experience in creating test plans, test cases and perform QA testing, UAT and Prod validations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Undergraduate degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Experience performing business process analysis, impact analysis, and root cause analysis
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities and delivering high quality results in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, can-do attitude, strong sense of ownership, and the ability to build effective relationships across teams while contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment
  • Experience working with cloud, automation, AI-enabled tools, or digital transformation initiatives, preferred but not required

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
