Job Description

This position is remote (work from home). Candidates can reside anywhere in the continental United States. Periodic travel (about 3 day/month) may be required.

The Senior Business Analyst will apply expertise in revenue cycle operations and technology to help improve our outstanding software and services. You will participate throughout the product development lifecycle. You will help plan, document, test, and troubleshoot software improvements. You will work closely with application business owners, developers, customers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather high-level customer business needs and translate them into functional requirements, use cases, workflow diagrams, wireframes, and other forms of documentation
  • Research industry, regulatory, and technology trends to find opportunities to enhance our solutions
  • Project manage development efforts; facilitate communication between the business units and the development team from initial requirements to final implementation
  • Design, create, and test reports, and analyze results
  • Provide subject-matter expertise and support to clients and to development, implementation, and support teams
  • Create and execute test plans; document, track, and evaluate issues
  • Create and maintain product documentation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in healthcare, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). MBA is a plus.
  • 4 years as a product manager or a business analyst in a technical environment
  • Deep expertise in revenue cycle processes and applications, including billing, coding, reimbursement methodologies, claims denials, and payer audits
  • Experience in all phases of software life cycle development
  • Strong product management and analytical skills, including a desire to logically solve business and technology problems
  • A track record of developing and analyzing complex reports
  • Proven ability to think creatively about how to solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment requiring quick turnaround and quality output
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to work with and influence peers, project teams, and management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Preferred: project management experience; ability to write SQL queries; familiarity with healthcare EDI transactions (e.g., 835/837, HL7); proficiency with MS Visio and Project
