BEPC is actively looking for CMDB Business Operations Analyst!

W2 Contract – 6 months with possible extensions! 

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
 Pay Rate: $40.00 - $45.00 /hour - Determined based on experience (Paid weekly)

Summary of the Role:

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated CMDB Business Operations Analyst to join a fully remote Business Operations IT team. This role will support a large-scale ServiceNow CMDB cleanup initiative, with an initial focus on end-user hardware assets including PCs, docking stations, mobile devices, and peripherals.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB), including workflows, business rules, and table relationships. This position will be responsible for analyzing the current CMDB environment, documenting existing processes, identifying workflow conflicts, and helping improve CMDB data quality and governance.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document existing ServiceNow CMDB workflows and business rules.
  • Identify workflow conflicts, business rule overlaps, and process inconsistencies.
  • Review and document relationships between CMDB tables, including Configuration Items (CI), Assets, POL, Vendors, and related records.
  • Understand how information flows between CMDB tables and document field mappings and dependencies.
  • Support CMDB cleanup activities to improve data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for CMDB workflows, business rules, and data relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support CMDB governance and data quality initiatives.
  • Prioritize cleanup efforts for end-user hardware assets, including: PCs, Docking stations, Mobile devices, Peripherals.
  • Develop documentation to support ongoing CMDB maintenance and operational consistency.


Main Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB.
  • In-depth knowledge of: CMDB workflows, Business rules, Configuration Item (CI) management.
  • Strong understanding of CMDB tables and their relationships.
  • Experience documenting technical workflows, system processes, and data structures.
  • Ability to analyze existing configurations and identify workflow conflicts or business rule overrides.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB dashboards.
  • Ability to create monitoring dashboards.
  • Ability to document the process for creating, updating, and maintaining CMDB dashboards.
