What you’ll do

Business Development Director is responsible for defining, planning and executing growth initiatives with Docusign partners; working closely with cross‑functional teams and key partners. The core objective is to build a scalable partnerships growth engine around Docusign sales and GTM priorities (sales plays).

Responsibilities
  • Develop strategy for Docusign sales plays with partners.

  • Collaborate with corporate and partner marketing to align on messaging and activations.

  • Align internal stakeholders to a shared vision, short, medium and long‑term goals.

  • Develop sales‑plays activation plan with key partners and partner ecosystems.

  • Drive awareness and enablement externally with all partners globally.

  • Drive new strategic growth initiatives with partners.

  • Incubate sales plays with partners—from concept to proof points. Put runs on the board.

  • Create and publish win‑wire case studies.

  • Leverage wins to identify, share patterns of success and best practices.

  • Build a playbook for scale.

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in‑office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in‑office expectation).

What you bring Basic
  • Bachelor’s degree qualified.

  • Minimum of 12 years related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of related experience with a Master’s degree.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnerships (ISV, SI, channel) or direct sales in SaaS.

  • Executive level engagement and negotiation experience.

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on geographic location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.

California: $157,500.00 – $254,350.00 base salary.

Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $151,200.00 – $213,600.00 base salary.

Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $151,200.00 – $222,450.00 base salary.

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre‑established sales goals. Non‑Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
