Job description

SY Financial Services is a growing financial services agency helping individuals, families, and business owners protect their income, prepare for retirement, and build long-term financial security.

We're expanding and looking for motivated people to join as Business Development Partners. This is a remote opportunity with a performance-based career path, built around a structured training and mentorship system -- and a real track for people who want to build and eventually lead their own team. No prior financial services experience is required, but please read the compensation and licensing sections before applying. This opportunity fits a specific kind of person, and we'd rather you know upfront whether that's you.

About the Role

Business Development Partners meet with clients virtually to help them understand their financial picture, identify needs, and review available solutions -- including life insurance, annuities, retirement strategies, and income protection. New partners follow a structured process: obtain a state life insurance license, complete field training alongside an experienced mentor on real client appointments, and build skills through ongoing team training. For those who want it, there's a path to develop and lead your own team over time.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients virtually to review financial goals and needs
  • Walk clients through financial concepts and available solutions
  • Help clients implement appropriate strategies
  • Maintain ongoing client communication and follow-up
  • Participate in training, mentorship, and team development
  • Follow a structured appointment and field-training process

What We Provide

  • Licensing study guidance and exam preparation support
  • One-on-one field training with an experienced mentor
  • A documented, system-driven training process
  • Remote, flexible structure -- start part-time or full-time
  • Leadership and agency-building track for those who want to grow a team

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Reliable phone, internet, and computer access
  • Willing to obtain a state life insurance license (guidance provided; licensing costs are the responsibility of the individual, and the license belongs to you, not the company)
  • Coachable, self-motivated, and comfortable speaking with people about financial topics

Compensation -- Please Read

Compensation is 100% performance-based. There is no hourly pay and no base salary -- income depends entirely on your activity,

appointments, and production, and is not guaranteed.

To be straight with you about the numbers: team members who worked the business full-time for a full year have typically earned $40,000-$60,000 in their first year. Part-time results are typically lower and vary. Income is not guaranteed, and individual results vary significantly.

Realistically, plan for a 60-90 day ramp before meaningful income -- licensing, training, and building your pipeline come first. If you need immediate guaranteed pay to cover next month's bills, this isn't the right fit, and I'd rather tell you that now than waste your time.
