A Remote Business Development Associate is a professional who works from a remote location to identify new business opportunities, build relationships with prospective clients, and help grow a company's revenue. Their responsibilities often include researching market trends, reaching out to potential clients via calls or emails, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams. They use digital tools to communicate and manage their tasks, making remote work effective and efficient. This role is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, possess strong communication skills, and are comfortable working independently.

Job description

Director of Business Development (Remote) – Custom Exhibit Solutions

Our client is a national, award-winning custom exhibit firm consistently recognized on the Find It Top 40. They are a premier designer and builder of high-end environments, known for turning complex brand visions into architectural reality.

They are seeking a Director of Business Development to transform a successful sales team from reactive order-takers into a proactive "hunter" unit.

This is a high-impact, 100% remote leadership role for a veteran of the custom design-build space who knows how to qualify a massive build and coach a team to a win.

You won't be managing "pipe and drape" or retail displays; you will be leading the charge on high-complexity, enterprise-level custom architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Shift the culture from reactive account management to aggressive net-new enterprise prospecting.
  • Be "in the trenches" with your team, helping them qualify high-value opportunities and navigate the nuances of the custom design-build process.
  • Foster a results-driven environment, utilizing tools like HubSpot and Apollo to ensure a healthy, high-volume sales funnel.
  • Work seamlessly with creative and production teams to ensure the client experience matches the award-winning quality of the builds.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development leadership experience specifically within the custom trade show exhibit industry. You must understand the fabrication process, logistics, and the strategic value of custom environments.
  • A track record of leading sales teams to hit and exceed KPIs.
  • A history of identifying, engaging, and closing large-scale accounts and can teach your team to do the same.
  •  Experience with HubSpot and Apollo is highly preferred.

Base Salary: $150,000 – $175,000 and 225k OTE (commensurate with experience).

Role: 100% Remote, Direct Hire.
