Head of FP&A

Our client is seeking a Head of FP&A to help lead and modernize a complex global financial planning and analysis function. This is a high-impact role for someone who loves the FP&A craft, enjoys getting deep into the data, and can partner closely with senior finance, executive, sales, operations, and technology leaders. The right person will bring strong financial modeling, forecasting, commercial finance, and process improvement experience, along with the ability to build structure in a complex environment undergoing significant transformation.

  • Location: Alabama / Southeast United States (Remote with travel)
  • Compensation: This job is expected to pay a base of about $200-$240k plus bonus

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and help consolidate FP&A support across multiple global business units, creating stronger alignment, structure, and consistency across the organization.
  • Own and improve core FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, scenario planning, KPI reporting, and executive-level financial analysis.
  • Build, maintain, and explain complex financial models, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, revenue, expense, margin, and profitability analysis.
  • Partner closely with finance, sales, technology, and business leaders to support commercial decision-making, sales planning, headcount planning, and financial discipline.
  • Help modernize legacy systems, reporting processes, tools, and workflows as the organization moves through a major finance and systems transformation.

What Gets You the Job: 

  • 10+ years of progressive FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance experience, ideally within a complex, global, matrixed organization.
  • Deep hands-on FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, board/investor reporting support, KPI dashboards, and performance analysis.
  • Strong public company corporate finance experience, with the ability to own and clearly explain three-statement financial models to senior leadership.
  • Commercial finance experience, including partnership with sales teams, sales incentives, revenue planning, pricing, profitability, and business performance drivers.
  • Experience with OneStream strongly preferred; experience with HFM, Essbase, or other consolidation and planning tools is also highly relevant.
