Quality Analyst (Manual & Automation)

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Analyst to support end-to-end testing efforts across software applications. This role is responsible for designing, executing, and managing comprehensive test plans to ensure solutions meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of QA methodologies, experience with both manual and automated testing, and the ability to work collaboratively within Agile teams to deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning and Execution

  • Develop and execute end-to-end test plans to validate system functionality, performance, reliability, and compatibility
  • Participate in test analysis, design, build, and execution phases across multiple testing levels
  • Identify, define, and prioritize test requirements based on business and technical specifications
  • Map test cases back to business requirements to ensure full coverage
  • Design and develop test cases, scripts, and test data using appropriate testing techniques
  • Execute manual and automated test scripts and document results

Defect Management and Issue Resolution

  • Identify, document, and track defects using established tools and processes
  • Collaborate with development and project teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Retest fixes and validate resolutions to ensure quality standards are met

Test Environment and Data Management

  • Define test environment requirements and ensure appropriate test data is available
  • Support test environment setup and maintenance as needed

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and stakeholders
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues clearly to project leadership
  • Translate technical issues into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders

Continuous Improvement

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in manual QA testing
  • 3+ years of experience in QA automation
  • Experience working in Agile environments (e.g., Scrum)
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certification preferred

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and testing processes
  • Experience with SQL and data validation
  • API testing experience
  • Familiarity with testing N-tier applications
