Job description

Job Description About DTMB: The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. About this position: This position will serve as a senior level business analyst with the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) Agency Services supporting the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). This position will help support a large portfolio of applications including new projects and maintenance releases.

The employee performs a complete range of information system analyst assignments including, but not limited to, analyzing complex business processes, developing detailed business process flows, gathering and management of business requirements, facilitating requirements gathering sessions, trace and validate requirements, assist in system user acceptance testing, user documentation creation, and participate in the pre- and post-system implementation support as needed. This position will serve as the key lead resource to direct the developer's construction efforts and serve as the client liaison on system requirements and application issues. Degree certificates are not accepted. When attaching transcripts, please name the college/university for each transcript attached. Position Location: This position is located in Lansing, MI.

This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.

Signing Bonus: This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

Required Education and Experience Education Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12 Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics. Experience Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12 Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11. Additional Requirements and Information Certain positions may require certification in specific information technology programs.
