• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' background and tailor therapeutic interventions effectively.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, with measurable goals that enhance patient resilience.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address trauma symptoms patiently.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging patients to process their trauma experiences while building healthy coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams comprising psychiatrists, social workers, and fellow counselors to deliver holistic care.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and guide them towards additional resources and coping strategies.
• Maintain precise documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in electronic health records (EHR).
• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous education sessions to remain abreast of advancements in trauma-informed care.
• Actively seek and incorporate the latest research findings into practice, ensuring high-quality treatment for all clients.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals who are navigating the challenges of trauma. The patient population includes those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, often stemming from historical abuse, significant life events, or sustained exposure to violence. Your work will directly contribute to restoring hope and healing, helping each patient work through their unique experiences at a pace that is comfortable for them.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, Psychologist, or LMFT in the state of Texas is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working in mental health counseling, particularly with trauma-focused therapies.
• Strong grounding in trauma-related disorders and effective treatment modalities, along with a genuine understanding of resilience-building techniques.
• Exceptionally strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude towards clients.
• Ability to remain calm and manage high-stress situations effectively, ensuring the delivery of empathetic care.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiar with various computer applications relevant to therapy settings.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary framework and contribute to team-based care initiatives.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused interventions, specifically EMDR and TF-CBT.
• Previous work in community health or outpatient settings is advantageous.
• Participation in continued education related to trauma-informed care practices.
