Location: Remote - Salem, Oregon (Need Local)

Note: There will be some onsite but otherwise it will be remote.

Job Description:

As a Business Analyst in the PPMO, you will support DOJ modernization initiatives by eliciting and clarifying business needs, documenting processes and requirements, assisting with solution assessment, and supporting testing and implementation. You'll collaborate with program staff, senior analysts, technical teams, and vendors to transform stakeholder input into clear, actionable documentation that guides delivery.

May be some need to be in the office based upon business need - a lot of the time the individuals will be able to work remotely

Key Responsibilities

  • Business analysis & requirements support: Gather information via interviews, workshops, document reviews, and research; translate findings into process diagrams, user stories, business rules, and functional descriptions; help maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation: Draft and maintain currentstate/futurestate process maps, SOPs, requirements summaries, and system documentation using approved templates and consistent terminology.
  • Testing & validation support: Prepare UAT test cases, participate in execution, document results, and communicate findings for review and resolution.
  • Training & implementation assistance: Contribute to enduser training materials and "trainthetrainer" sessions; observe workflow impacts, gather user feedback, and share insights to support adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned to support program objectives and timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting largescale modernization programs or enterprise initiatives; familiarity with data governance/privacy/security practices.
  • Project/change management and facilitation skills (workshops, consensusbuilding).
  • Background working with relational or cloudbased data platforms; ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences.
