Role Purpose
The Marketing Brand Manager - Pantry is responsible for leading the strategy and execution across a portfolio of three pantry brands. These brands are currently in decline and require a leader energized by the challenge of stabilizing performance and rebuilding momentum. This role leads brand planning, innovation, and integrated marketing execution while partnering closely with Sales, Insights, R&D, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver strong commercial outcomes across channels.
Immediate priority is to stabilize the business through disciplined portfolio management, sharper commercial focus, and resourceful marketing execution, while identifying the most credible pathways to future growth. The Brand Manager will operate with an entrepreneurial, owner mindset, balancing creativity with strong financial and business acumen.
Success in this role requires a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, prioritizes ruthlessly, and is motivated by the opportunity to rebuild and grow brands from a challenging starting point.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end brand strategy across three pantry brands, including positioning, portfolio focus, and stabilization plans
  • Lead brand planning, including volume, revenue, margin, and A&P investment recommendations
  • Develop and execute scrappy, high-ROI marketing plans marketing plans (innovation, renovation, communications, promotions, and in-store activation)
  • Translate consumer and shopper insights into actionable strategies that drive trial, repeat, and loyalty
  • Partner with Sales and Category Management to support go-to-market strategy and strengthen key customer plans
  • Lead innovation projects from concept through launch, with disciplined business cases and cross-functional alignment
  • Manage brand P&L levers in partnership with Finance, including pricing, mix, trade investments and portfolio prioritization
  • Oversee agency partners (creative, media, PR, digital) to ensure efficient ROI-driven brand execution
  • Monitor brand performance and competitive dynamics; recommend course corrections based on data and insights
  • Ensure brand compliance with regulatory, quality, and corporate standards
  • Contribute to broader marketing capability building and continuous improvement across the portfolio

Scope
Financial/Budgetary Responsibility: Ownership or shared ownership of brand A&P budget and innovation business cases. Influence over pricing, trade strategy, and portfolio mix decisions
Team Size: Individual contributor role with potential indirect leadership of cross-functional teams and agency partners
Conditions of Role:
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 20% travel, including customer meetings, innovation work sessions, and agency engagements
