Job Description:

This position requires a solid accounting foundation combined with strong technical aptitude, advanced Excel skills, and an understanding of financial systems and data flows. Working closely with business application analysts, the Senior Analyst - Accounting helps support the structure, functionality, and ongoing operations of the accounting system. The position is responsible for resolving errors, researching data discrepancies, and performing root cause analysis. Experience with Workday Financials is a strong benefit. The Senior Analyst - Accounting serves as a subject matter expert to Accounting and Finance caregivers from a systems and data perspective, providing guidance on system functionality, reporting tools, and process dependencies. Operating with minimal supervision, this role requires a self sufficient, highly detail oriented professional who understands system integrations and their impact on financial reporting.

The hiring manager is considering applicants who have the following experience - accounting support, ERP system implementations, upgrades, or stabilization efforts; Workday experience preferred.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand end-to-end business and accounting processes.

Knowledge of how systems, workflows, and data integrate and flow to the General Ledger.

Ability to identify process improvements and support cross-functional system and financial operations initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Understands all aspects of the accounting process

  • Acts as a technical and systems resource to Accounting and Finance caregivers

  • Understands and explains the interrelationship of accounting systems

  • May have responsibility for training users on systemrelated functionality and sharing system and data knowledge

  • May serve as a subjectmatter expert on accounting systemrelated initiatives or act as a project resource as assigned

  • Provides daytoday operational support and maintenance for accounting systems, including issue resolution, data validation, and assigned operational system tasks

  • May assist with developing and maintaining documentation, job aids, and training materials to support system usage and reporting for Accounting and Finance caregivers
