Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Brand & Creative based in Netherlands.

This is a high-impact opportunity to build and lead a unified Brand & Creative function within a fast-growing technology environment.
You will shape the brand strategy, creative direction, content ecosystem, and operating model from the ground up.
The role connects brand building directly to demand generation, pipeline growth, market awareness, and business results.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team spanning content, social, brand, and design while raising the creative and strategic bar.
You will have the freedom to test bold ideas, learn quickly from results, and double down on initiatives that demonstrate meaningful impact.
Success will require a balance of creative judgment, analytical thinking, operational discipline, and strong cross-functional influence.
This role is ideal for a systems-minded brand leader who wants to build something distinctive while directly contributing to measurable commercial growth.

Accountabilities
  • Build and lead a unified Brand & Creative function, establishing its mandate, operating model, workflows, standards, and long-term capabilities.
  • Own brand and creative strategy in direct support of demand generation, pipeline growth, brand awareness, and market reputation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team across content, social, brand, and design, creating clear expectations around both business outcomes and professional growth.
  • Establish and manage the editorial calendar while directing creative execution across the marketing funnel to ensure content and campaigns are delivered consistently and purposefully.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of creative concepts and experiments that can support demand generation testing and uncover new opportunities for growth.
  • Define and maintain brand standards, voice, tone, visual identity, and creative principles while partnering with channel leaders to ensure consistent execution.
  • Partner with Demand Generation and Product Marketing to identify content gaps, address target-account needs, and ensure brand initiatives directly support demand programs.
  • Establish clear measurement frameworks for brand and creative performance, connecting initiatives to pipeline, demand, awareness, and other relevant business outcomes.
  • Encourage a culture of experimentation by making informed bets, measuring results honestly, and using performance data to determine whether to scale, refine, or stop initiatives.
  • Represent Brand & Creative within marketing leadership discussions and contribute to broader go-to-market strategy and decision-making.
  • Build scalable systems, processes, templates, and frameworks that allow a lean team to produce high-quality work efficiently and consistently.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in brand, design, creative direction, or a related discipline, including at least 3 years building and leading creative teams; experience in B2B SaaS or an agency environment is preferred.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating both strategic brand development, such as identity systems, guidelines, and messaging frameworks, and high-quality execution across web, content, social, and campaigns.
  • Proven track record of using brand and creative initiatives to influence measurable business outcomes, including pipeline, demand, awareness, or revenue-related metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into clear creative briefs, concepts, campaigns, and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across design, content, social, and brand as a player-coach who can set strategic direction while remaining hands-on when appropriate.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a reputation for building trust through reliable communication, commitments, and delivery.
  • Experience developing scalable brand systems and creative processes, including guidelines, templates, workflows, and mechanisms that enable teams to work efficiently and maintain consistency.
  • Systems-oriented leadership style with the ability to create clarity in ambiguous environments, establish durable processes, and build organizations that can scale beyond individual contributors.
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain creative strategy and rationale effectively to executive audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to partner with demand generation leaders to measure creative and brand performance and communicate both successes and misses candidly.
  • Experience collaborating across Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, and other teams to deliver a coherent customer-facing story throughout the funnel.
  • Strong understanding of modern remote collaboration and productivity tools, with proficiency in macOS and comfort using platforms such as Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom Webinar, and Asana.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where experimentation, constructive challenge, rapid learning, and continuous improvement are encouraged.
Benefits
  • US-based cash base compensation range of $180,000-$215,000 USD annually.
  • Fully remote work environment with flexibility to work from anywhere within eligible locations.
  • Opportunity to build and own a new Brand & Creative function from the ground up.
  • Significant influence over brand strategy, creative standards, team structure, and operating model.
  • Opportunity to work in a fast-growing technology company focused on innovation and measurable business impact.
  • A culture that encourages experimentation, thoughtful risk-taking, learning from failure, and rewarding ideas based on their merit.
  • Direct exposure to marketing leadership and cross-functional collaboration across demand generation, product marketing, and communications.
  • Inclusive and globally distributed work environment that values diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds.
  • Opportunities to make a visible impact on pipeline generation, market awareness, and long-term brand growth.
