This position allows for a remote work environment, offering the flexibility that modern counselors desire while still being part of a dynamic community health clinic. The regular work schedule runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, providing you with a stable and predictable work-life integration.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of senior clients’ mental health to identify specific care needs.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions that target emotional issues related to aging, such as depression, anxiety, and grief.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to create and implement well-rounded care plans for geriatric patients.
• Educate family members and caregivers on best practices for fostering emotional well-being and enhancing the quality of life for older adults.
• Provide compassionate grief and loss counseling to residents and their loved ones during end-of-life situations.
• Utilize evidence-based cognitive stimulation programs and mental health therapies to maintain and improve mental clarity in older clients.

Your primary focus will be on senior citizens dealing with a variety of mental health issues stemming from aging and life transitions. This role will require you to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet their unique psychological and emotional needs. Understanding the cultural and individual circumstances that affect the older population will be essential to providing effective care.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current certification as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida.
• A minimum of four years of recent experience in providing mental health counseling, particularly with seniors.
• Familiarity with ethical and legal standards related to mental health counseling and senior care.

• Advanced training or continuing education focused on senior mental health or aging concerns.
• Experience implementing evidence-based strategies for mental health support in the elderly population.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with older adults and their families.
• Deep empathy and cultural awareness to serve a diverse population of senior clients.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, accompanied by a sign-on bonus.
