- Clearance Requirements: Tier 1 Background Investigation - National Agency Check with Law and Credit Check, and fingerprints. (Standard Form 85).
- Estimate Pay: $33.65/hour (subject to change)
- Type of Employment: Part-time/as needed; up to 20 hours per week.
- Period of Performance: September 1, 2026 - August 31, 2030

Summary of Services:
The Dietician will remotely provide as-needed licensed dietitian services and medical nutrition therapy for Lubbock SSLC residents as directed by the Chief Clinical Dietitian. Work includes nutrition screening, assessments, patient education, entering data into the Clinical Record System and/or dictating information for patient charts, preparing written or dictated reports for each treatment episode, and other reports required by the facility.
Working Hours:
The Dietician will work remotely Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. The Dietician must respond to calls within four hours unless extended by the HHS Agency Contract Manager. Services outside regular business hours must be requested/approved in writing and invoiced at the applicable outside-regular-hours rate.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Must currently hold and maintain Registered Dietician and/or Registered Dietician Nutritionist credentials in good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- At least five (5) years of relevant dietitian and clinical experience in military or civilian settings.
- Personnel must be at least 18 years old.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide medical nutrition therapy and licensed dietitian services as directed by the Chief Clinical Dietitian.
- Conduct nutrition screenings and comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
- Provide nutrition counseling and patient education based on residents' medical and dietary needs.
- Document assessments, interventions, and treatment outcomes in the Clinical Record System.
- Prepare written or dictated reports for each patient treatment episode.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate resident care.
- Monitor residents' nutritional status and adjust care plans as appropriate.
- Complete facility-required reports and documentation in accordance with established policies.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, facility, and professional standards of practice.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements.
