Job description

Learn more about the role via the video here!

This is a high-volume sales role. You will be on the phone. A lot. Building relationships with freight carriers, negotiating rates, solving problems when a load goes sideways.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your day starts with a stack of open loads and active carrier relationships to manage. Then you are on the phone. Here is what that looks like in practice:

  • Calling carriers to source capacity for customer freight across North America.
  • Negotiating rates on the spot, sometimes with minutes to spare.
  • Monitoring active shipments and stepping in fast when something goes wrong.
  • Building relationships with carriers so you are the person they call back first.
  • Hitting daily activity targets. Volume is how you get better and how you earn more.

Who Thrives Here

This role rewards a specific kind of person. Not the most scripted, not the most credentialed. The most determined.

  • You do not get rattled when a carrier falls through at 4pm.
  • You are competitive. You want to know where you rank on the board.
  • You can build trust with a stranger in the first 30 seconds of a call.
  • You are not looking for an easy job. You are looking for a job worth doing.
  • You want to be in the building, around people who work as hard as you do.

What You Can Earn

Base salary ($50k) plus uncapped commission. Your income is directly tied to your effort and your results. Reps who put in the work and build their book of carriers earn significantly more than their base within the first year. Top performers can earn six figures within 24 months.

Experience and Qualifications

A logistics or freight background helps, but it is not required. What matters more:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, phone-heavy sales or customer facing role.
  • Comfort with rejection. This is a numbers game, and you have to be okay with that.
  • A history of meeting or exceeding goals, whatever field they came from.
  • A degree in business or supply chain is a plus, not a requirement.

Training and Growth

Nobody walks in on day one knowing how to move freight. You will get structured training, a clear ramp period, and coaching from people who have done this job themselves. The BlueShip platform gives you the tools to do the work. The rest is up to you.

Top performers here get recognized. President's Club is real. So is the path to senior roles and team leadership for people who want it.

The Environment

This is an in-office role at our Phoenix location. That is intentional. The energy on the floor, the coaching, the competition, the culture. It does not work the same way on a screen.

What you get:

  • Health benefits (medical, dental, vision).
  • Paid time off.
  • Access to company leadership, including regular CEO forums.
  • Mentorship program and structured learning opportunities.
  • President's Club recognition for top performers.
  • Team events and community volunteer opportunities.
  • Employee resource groups.

Common Questions

Do I need freight experience?

No. Experience in retail, customer service, or any phone-based sales role is a real foundation. You will learn the freight part here.

Is this remote or hybrid?

On-site only.5350 East High Street, Bldg A4, Suite 200, Phoenix, Arizona 85054. That is where the work happens.

What does the first 90 days look like?

A mix of structured training, learning the systems, and getting on the phone. You will be making calls faster than you expect. That is by design.

How fast can I grow?

As fast as your results justify. There is no waiting your turn here. Top performers move up and earn more.
