Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to uncover their social, emotional, and environmental challenges, forming a foundational understanding of each individual's unique circumstances.
• Develop detailed and personalized service plans that reflect clients' goals, tailored interventions, and clear progress-monitoring strategies.
• Provide individual and family counseling, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to support clients as they navigate life’s complexities.
• Collaborate actively with clients to identify community resources and support networks, ensuring they are equipped with the tools necessary for improvement.
• Offer crisis intervention services, including risk assessments and safety planning, to manage urgent situations effectively and compassionately.
• Engage with and coordinate other community agencies and organizations, advocating for clients' interests and ensuring they receive holistic support.
• Participate actively in community outreach to raise awareness of the agency’s services and engage potential clients.
• Attend case conferences, contribute in team meetings, and partake in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary population served includes individuals grappling with mental health issues, substance abuse, and those requiring support in overcoming life-altering challenges. Your role will be pivotal in empowering clients—many of whom face significant economic and social obstacles—to regain control of their lives through effective counseling and advocacy.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is mandatory.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Nevada.
• Strong background knowledge of social and economic justice, available community resources, and trauma-informed care practices.
• Excellent communication skills, cultural competency, and problem-solving abilities that facilitate productive engagement with clients.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a social service agency or a similar environment is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
