Media Relations/ PR Associate -- AUM Advisors (Remote)

AUM Advisors

New York, NY • Remote

$30 - $80/hr

Contractor

This job post has expired 1 day ago. Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

AUM Advisors is a strategic investor relations and capital markets advisory firm working with companies navigating U.S. listings, de-SPAC transactions, and Nasdaq readiness. We're looking for a Media Associate whose primary mission is securing media placements — broadcast, financial, and trade press — for our clients, from pre-IPO companies to Nasdaq-listed issuers.

What you'll do:

  • Pitch and secure media placements across broadcast, financial, and trade outlets for clients across capital markets transactions
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, producers, and editors covering capital markets and sector-specific trade press
  • Draft press releases, media pitches, corporate blog posts, op-eds, and executive bylines
  • Lead social media strategy and thought leadership content development for client executives and corporate accounts
  • Help produce materials for AUM's own conference and thought-leadership initiatives (including our Japan and Europe SPAC summits)
  • Collaborate with senior IR advisors to ensure messaging is accurate, on-brand, and aligned with each client's capital markets objectives

What we're looking for:

  • 2-3 years of experience in media relations, financial PR, journalism, or a related field, with a track record of securing press placements
  • Strong writing and pitching skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and capital markets concepts into stories journalists want to cover
  • Comfort working across multiple client accounts and deadlines simultaneously
  • Existing expertise or demonstrated ability to quickly get up to speed in sectors such as AI, quantum computing, cleantech, defense tech, and fintech
  • NYC-based preferred, but open to remote candidates anywhere

Compensation: $30–$80/hour, commensurate with experience

Interested candidates should send a resume and a cover letter explaining why this position fits their skills and aspirations.
